This policy explains how Kai Yun Chio, the developer of Swish, handles information when you use the Swish iOS app or visit this support site.
1. What this policy covers
Swish is a personal bookkeeping app. You can use it without registering with a name, email address, phone number, or social profile.
The app creates an anonymous Firebase identifier so cloud features can work. That identifier is not a public profile and is not used for advertising.
2. Information we process
Records you enter
Transactions, amounts, categories, account labels, notes, preferences, and other bookkeeping content you choose to save.
Anonymous identifier
A Firebase user ID links your app installation to your cloud records without requiring contact details.
Purchase information
Apple transaction identifiers, subscription status, purchase history, and entitlement information needed to provide paid features.
Optional usage analytics
Product interactions, app lifecycle and purchase events, an app instance or device identifier, and coarse location inferred from an IP address.
Security and website data
Firebase may process IP addresses, user agents, integrity tokens, attestation data, and request logs to operate and protect the app and this site.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send so we can reply.
The app does not request your contacts, camera library, precise GPS location, advertising identifier, payment card details, or social media profile.
3. How we use information
- Save, sync, restore, export, and delete your bookkeeping records.
- Provide subscriptions and verify access to paid features.
- Secure the app, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.
- Answer support requests you choose to send.
- Measure feature use only after you agree to optional analytics.
- Meet legal obligations and protect our rights or users.
Exports use the iOS share sheet. We do not upload an exported file to our server unless you choose a destination that does so.
4. Analytics and your choice
Firebase Analytics is disabled by default. The app asks once before enabling it. Declining keeps collection disabled.
If you agree, analytics may include feature interactions, app lifecycle events, purchase events, an app instance or device identifier, and an approximate country or region inferred from an IP address. It does not include precise GPS location.
Our analytics events do not include your bookkeeping content, anonymous cloud user ID, or custom event details. Advertising storage, ad personalization, and cross-app tracking remain disabled.
You can change this choice anytime under Usage Analytics in the app’s Settings. Turning it off stops future analytics collection from the app.
5. Cloud storage and service providers
We use a small number of providers to operate Swish. They process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Provides anonymous identity, cloud data storage, app security, website hosting, and optional analytics.
Firebase privacy and securityProcesses App Store payments and provides transaction and subscription status. We do not receive your payment card details.
Apple Privacy PolicyYour cloud records and related technical data may be processed in countries where these providers operate.
6. Sharing, sales, and tracking
We disclose information only to providers needed to run the app, when you direct an export, when law requires it, or when needed to protect users and the service.
We do not sell personal information. We do not show ads, use remarketing, or track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
This support site contains no advertising, analytics, or behavioral tracking scripts. Browser Do Not Track signals do not change the site because those tools are not present.
7. Retention and deletion
Your local and cloud records remain available while you use the app. You can erase them from Settings → Data Management. Erasing data removes local and cloud records and deletes the current anonymous app identity.
Deleting app data does not cancel a subscription or erase Apple’s transaction history. Subscriptions stay connected to your Apple Account and can be managed in Apple’s subscription settings.
Purchase records may be kept as needed to verify access, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Analytics and provider security logs follow the applicable provider settings and retention practices. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer and maintain a record of the request.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive information about personal data. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent.
- Turn optional analytics on or off in the app’s Settings.
- Export your records with the app’s export tools.
- Erase local and cloud records in Data Management.
- Contact us to ask a privacy question or exercise a legal right.
EEA, United Kingdom, and similar regions
Where applicable, we process data to provide the service you request, based on your consent for optional analytics, for legitimate interests such as security and support, and to meet legal obligations. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
California
If California privacy law applies, the categories processed may include identifiers, customer records and financial information, commercial information, internet or electronic activity, coarse geolocation, and support correspondence. Sources include you, your device, Apple, and Firebase. We use and disclose these categories for the purposes described above.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
9. Other important terms
International processing
Information may be transferred to and processed outside your country. We rely on provider safeguards and lawful transfer mechanisms where required.
Children
Swish is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app, our providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
